09.6.5: Health Updates and Kiwis

Okay. So the hospital-ish people didn't call back. I find this rather encouraging, as people who are found to carry swine flu are automatically notified (and those who are safe may or may not ever get a call).
But my brother is apparently still doing well in the hospital; I mean, he wasn't coughing up a lung or dying from fever. He's actually perfectly fine, but he just has the strain.
I feel kinda bad for him, actually. He doesn't really deal well in situations where he's not sure of what's going on. This would include being in strange situations where he doesn't know anyone... namely, the one in which he finds himself now. But he's a good kid, so I'm glad that the staff's being nice to him.
Still, he's bored and a bit lonely (I can tell because he called every few hours. But it's gotten better, I think; he's only called a few times today). But our aunt and one of our cousins visited him (separately). My aunt said that he's okay -- he seems healthy and isn't suffering (or anything).

Anyways. Update!
So... funny story. My sleeping schedule is:
1:30 AM Sleep
3:00 AM Wake
3:30 AM Sleep
5:45 AM Wake
2:00 PM Sleep
5:00 PM Wake
7:00 PM Sleep
8:30 PM Wake
Sad. I guess I still have a bit of jet lag?
But it'll be fine. I have a while to adjust, right?
Oh. But the funny story. I fell asleep at, like, 2:30 PM. And then my parents woke me up, and I was like, "EEEEP! Bright light!" And so I sat up on the couch (which I have made my bed). And I was half asleep, and I looked at the clock. And it was, like, 7. And I was like, Whoa. Definitely just blacked out during the whole night. Maybe I got drunk or something... Isn't that what happens -- don't you forget what you did the night before? But I've never wanted to drink alcohol. I wonder what possessed me to drink... Geez, I wonder what I ate for dinner. Hm...
And so I sat there for a while, trying to remember what I had done the previous day.
And then it hit me. Haha, WAIT. Okay, it's actually 7 PM. Oh, haha. LAME. I guess I was just really (half-)asleep.
(Okay. So I might be the only one who finds it funny, since I kinda experienced it myself. But I thought I'd share.)

Um, yeah. But after dinner (following this supposed blackout episode), we went for a turn about the neighborhood. In masks, obvi. It was quite lovely to just kinda stroll around at night. And there were quite a few couples who were walking together, and it was altogether very cute. Like, epic win for you. (Though it was kinda like, "Oh. I hope that I'll be able to do that one day. :) Let's be patient." But this is a story for another day.)
When we got back (after the walk), I noticed that I was kinda tired. WTG? Okay... granted, I had been on the plane for an unholy amount of time. And true story, I've been under house arrest, so my amount of physical activity has substantially decreased. Oh, and it's also fact that I keep falling asleep right after I eat. Um... so I've reached three conclusions.
A) I am out of shape. Big time.
B) I need to eat healthy foods and try to find ways to move around this apartment (which is, like most HK apartments, small. Like, SMALL. So I just kinda have to not care about looking like a fool while pacing around this tiny place?).
C) I must get my rear in gear when I get back to college in order to shave off those pounds that are already starting to build on my tummy. EW.

Something of interest: I ate a "golden kiwi" (金奇果) today. It was like a regular kiwi. Except for the fact that it's more golden in color. And the taste is different. The sweetness is milkier, softer. And it's not as acidicly tart. It's nice, but I think I prefer the kiwi I know. Mainly because of the tart sting that it leaves in my mouth. But I'll settle for a golden kiwi -- better than no kiwi at all!

Okay. Much love, etc.
Sorry that there's not much to say right now -- quarantine makes you a kinda boring person.
Mwah! Kisses for everyone.
